ORIGINAL Vintage Matchbooks
One of my favorite places to find referene photos for paintings is Facebook Marketplace. I was scrolling through Marketplace one afternoon and this pile of vintage Pensacola Matchbooks jumped out at me, so I messaged the seller for permission to paint it.
They agreed, probably a little confused and possibly disappointed that I wasn’t reaching out to buy the matchbooks and I was off to the races painting.
