ORIGINAL Lone Star Quilt

$400.00

Last year I thrifted an old quilt for $5 from a local thrift shop. The owner told me he was surprised I would want it because it had some stains and some rips. I have a little secret though.

I like to take those old, well loved quilts and extend their life. Maybe they won’t be one a bed anymore, but this Lone Star Quilt was loving made into a vest for a friends birthday, a mid-weight hooded coat for me, a Christmas Stocking, and a painting.

The pops of pinks in between the “seams” are my favorite part, an echo of the batting popping through those seams.

A perfect gift for a quilter’s fabric room.

This piece is 18×24 Acrylic on Gallery canvas, comes wired for hanging.
