Young Artist Art Club

from $9.75 every month

Do you have a young artist in your life? Someone who seems drawn to…well…draw? Paint? Color?

The Young Artist Art Club is the perfect gift for them! As a young artist myself I remember looking through art history flash cards, fascinated with the brushstrokes and beauty. I believe that by studying the beauty of art we learn one of the most important skills any artist needs-drawing what you see.

The aim of the Young Artist Art Club is to help foster that skill and grow the confidence of the Young Artist. Following the guidelines of the Charlotte Mason method, we will do three things each month to help us grow as artists. First, we will appreciate the artist by learning about her, next, we will express the artwork-saying what we see, and then we will reproduce it-drawing what we see.

These activities can be used over the course of 2-3 weeks, practicing each step with care, and repeating as desired to help skills blossom.

You will receive:

• A Guide for Grown Ups, helping you help your artist

• A brief biography of the featured artist

• Prompts for each area of study to help appreciate, express, and reproduce

• Reproductions of the artists work to hold in your hands as you go through each step

• Coloring page drawn by Katie for your young artist

•Bonus activities to help the young artist take what they have learned and apply it to their own artwork

Young Artists Art Club will be mailed at the end of each month, and signups before the end of the month will be eligible for that month’s mailing. (For example if you order on October 29th, you will receive the October 31st mailing)

Add on Sibling Packs: Include one extra coloring page per sibling and duplicates of the bonus activity
